The Danny's Difference

Dann0212Danny Kleinsasser of Stonewall, MB learned early in business how important it is to ensure his customer gets high quality, healthy and safe food every time. His gate to plate product control is for the customers who want to know how their food is raised.

A year and a half ago, Danny’s Whole Hog bought four barns; each can hold 500 pigs raising 5000 pigs per year. Two thousand pigs go Danny’s Whole Hog Barbeque and the rest go to Maple Leaf.

“Now I can guarantee the customer our meat comes from the farm gate to the customer’s plate and we control how we raise the hogs at Danny’s Whole Hog,” said Danny.  “We must always bring it across to Manitobans the food they eat today is safe,” he said. “With the quality assurance programs that all producers must have in place, they can be sure it is safe.”

“In my case, I have total control over the pigs I buy as weanlings and put into my barns,” he said. “I can see them and am versatile now to raise the hogs the way the customer wants.”

Danny can assure his customer the hog she gets is raised from small up using his well-trained staff and a feed provider of his choice  The customer can also be sure the pigs are raised on a small little family farm.
